The CRM Documents module in InvestGlass provides a centralised document management system for storing, organising, and sharing files across your organisation. This module ensures that all business-critical documents are accessible, version-controlled, and securely stored within the Swiss sovereign cloud.
What Is CRM Documents?
CRM Documents is the file management system within InvestGlass. It allows you to upload, organise, and manage documents such as contracts, reports, presentations, compliance records, and client correspondence. Documents can be linked to contacts, accounts, and other CRM records for contextual access.
How to Access CRM Documents
- Log in to your InvestGlass instance.
2. Navigate to the left-hand sidebar menu.
3. Click on CRM Documents to access the document library.

Uploading Documents
- Navigate to CRM Documents from the sidebar.
2. Select the destination folder or create a new one.
3. Click Upload and select files from your computer.
4. Add metadata: document type, description, and tags.
5. Set access permissions for the uploaded document.
6. Link the document to relevant CRM records if applicable.
Document Organisation
Create a logical folder structure that reflects your business processes. Common structures include folders for client documents, compliance records, templates, marketing materials, and internal policies. Use tags for cross-cutting categorisation that spans multiple folders.
Best Practices
Establish clear naming conventions for documents and folders. Set appropriate access permissions to protect sensitive information. Regularly archive outdated documents to keep the active library manageable. Use the Client Portal to share documents securely with external parties.
