Smart Agent

Integrate AI into your CRM and portfolio workflows

1. What Is the Smart Agent?

The Smart Agent is essentially your AI “middleware” in InvestGlass. You can create prompt templates for frequently asked questions or processes—like “Identify undervalued stocks” or “Check compliance status”—and let the Smart Agent deliver AI‑driven responses within the InvestGlass platform.

Key Components

  • Prompt Category: Classify your prompt (e.g., “Bullish Questions,” “Compliance Queries”).
  • Prompt Name: Give your prompt a clear label.
  • AI Model: Pick which AI engine you want to handle the request (OpenAI, Claude, etc.).
  • Question/Prompt: The main text or question you want the AI to answer.
  • Resolution & Response: The result or “answer” section you or your users can review, store, and share.

2. Setting Up a Pre‑Built Intent (Prompt Template)

  1. Navigate to Smart Agent or Prompt Templates

    • In InvestGlass, locate the “Smart Agent” or “Prompt Templates” section (naming may vary based on your setup).
  2. Create a New Prompt Template

    • Click on “New Prompt Template” (or “Edit Prompt Template” if modifying an existing one).
    • Enter:
      • Prompt Category (e.g., “Bullish Questions”)
      • Prompt Name (e.g., “Long‑term Investments”)
      • Resource Visibility (e.g., “Portfolio,” “Contact”) to control where this prompt is visible.
  3. Choose Your AI Model

    • Select one of the available models (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.).
    • Each model may have different strengths; for instance, OpenAI might be good for general language tasks, while Claude might handle certain contexts differently.
  4. Enter the Prompt Text

    • In the large text area, type the question or command you want the AI to handle (e.g., “Can you identify any undervalued stocks or sectors with strong long‑term potential?”).
    • If relevant, click Insert object field to pull data from the CRM or portfolio record (e.g., “{client_name}” or “{portfolio_value}”), giving the AI more context.
  5. Resolution & Response Fields

    • Resolution can be an internal note or instructions about how to interpret or finalize the AI’s answer. This might outline next steps or disclaimers (e.g., “Send this analysis to the client with disclaimers about market risk”).
    • Select Record and Response fields are where you tie the incoming AI output to specific records in your database and store the final answer.
  6. Save the Template

    • Click Save to store your newly created or updated intent.
    • The Smart Agent can now be triggered to answer this prompt with the chosen AI model.

3. Using the Pre‑Built Intent

Once saved, users can:

  1. Select the Intent: In a conversation, task, or pipeline stage, pick the prompt name from a dropdown or search bar.
  2. Run the Prompt: InvestGlass sends the predefined question (and any dynamic context, if configured) to the selected AI model.
  3. Review the Response: The AI’s reply appears in the “Response” section or within a relevant record.
  4. Take Next Steps: Based on your “Resolution” instructions, you can forward the AI suggestion to a client, create a task, or store it for compliance.
