The Buttons/Links module in InvestGlass allows administrators to create custom action buttons and navigation links that appear within records, views, and pages. This module enables you to extend platform functionality and streamline user workflows.


What Are Buttons/Links?


Buttons and Links are custom interactive elements that can be placed on record pages, list views, or dashboards. They can trigger actions such as opening external URLs, executing automations, navigating to specific pages, or launching forms and processes.


How to Access Buttons/Links


  1. Log in to your InvestGlass instance. 2. Navigate to the left-hand sidebar menu. 3. Click on Buttons/Links under the settings or configuration area. 4. Alternatively, access through My Account > Company > Buttons/Links.

Creating a Button or Link


  1. Navigate to Buttons/Links from the settings. 2. Click + New Button or + New Link. 3. Name the button and select its type (action, URL, or navigation). 4. Configure the target action or destination URL. 5. Set display conditions and permissions. 6. Choose placement location. 7. Save and test the button.

Use Cases


Buttons/Links are commonly used for quick-action shortcuts, launching external tools, triggering document generation, initiating approval processes, opening client portals, and navigating to related records.
