Navigation Menu Customization
One of the first things you may want to do when setting up your InvestGlass CRM is to personalize it to your needs and your company's branding. Everything on the InvestGlass portal is customizable, from individual window displays to the navigation menu structure.
This guide focuses on customizing your navigation and favorites menu to create a tailored user experience.
Accessing Navigation Settings
To customize your navigation menu:
- Navigate to My Account → Company → Portal / Apps
- Select Navigation Menu
This will open the customization interface for your company portal's main navigation tabs.
Default Navigation Tabs
Default Navigation Items
Your InvestGlass portal comes with these default navigation tabs:
- Apps - Access to integrated applications
- Opportunities - Sales pipeline management
- Calendar - Scheduling and appointments
- Audit Trail - Activity tracking (if applicable)
- Contacts Overview - Contact management hub
- Accounts - Account management
- Contact Reports - Reporting and analytics
- Search Bar - Global search functionality

You can enhance your navigation by adding these additional tabs:
- Markets - Market data and analysis
- Contracts - Contract management
- Relations Overview - Relationship mapping
- Notifications - System alerts and updates

Reorder Tabs
Change the sequence of navigation tabs to match your workflow priorities.
Remove Tabs
Hide tabs that aren't relevant to your team's daily operations.

Group Permissions
Create different navigation experiences for different user groups.
Client Portal Customization
You can also modify the client-facing portal by adjusting these visible tabs:

Favorites Menu
The Favorites menu provides quick access to frequently used functions. Access it by clicking the three dots (⋯) in the top right corner of your portal.
Configuring Favorites
Default Favorite Items
The default favorites include:
- New Contact Report
- New Task
- New Transaction
- New Contact
- New Account
- Need Help
- New Relation
- New Contracts
Like the navigation menu, you can add, remove, and reorder these favorites to match your workflow.
Custom Navigation Names
Changing Menu Item Labels
To customize the display names of navigation items:
- Go to Settings → Display
- Modify the item names as needed
- Click Save to apply changes
