Import data into InvestGlass
Choosing a method for importing data
You can import data from InvestGlass data import. All objects can be enriched with front end import feature. If you are importing on a regular basis data or more than 10’000 records, we suggest you use InvestGlass API.
Importing contacts is the most important element as contacts are the central link to accounts, relations, and portfolios. InvestGlass uses the concept of RM ID to link each contact to a unique relationship manager. Each contact has a unique reference number.
When InvestGlass is empty of custom fields, you can use the import feature to import data from a simple spreadsheet. Select create fields to automatically generate new custom fields from columns that are not recognized.
InvestGlass also supports a bridge with Zapier API. Zapier API aims to facilitate InvestGlass connectivity with more than 1000 API.
More import questions
InvestGlass has a powerful bulk edit feature to assign contacts to relationship managers and their assistants. If you wish to use an external ID, we suggest you create a custom field and call it external ID. You can import data in any language. The import file is limited to 100 MB. You can do simultaneous imports, but we suggest you not to it. Import time can vary based on the size of your data set.
